The characters in the book the illad had very significant roles. In my opinion they all showed courage in one way or another. Some characters like Achilles, Partroclus, Diomedes, Odysseus, and Agamemnous were very important in this book. Achilles is the greatest warrior invloved in the trojan war. He was very strong and unstoppable. I believe he is very courageous because he sacrfices alot of his allies to his pride and he refused to fight because it was an inslut to his honor. Partroclus is achilles companion. They have been friends since childhood. Partroclus is compassionate as well as fierce. Partroclus is courageous because when achilles wont fight he attempts to save his other noble men from death. Agamemnon is a commander in chief. He is head of the achiean forces. He often feels the burden of responsibility. he is very stubborn and courageous because he never really said sorry to achilles. He insulted achilles honor. He was very loyal to his role as a leader in other words.
Alot of characters in this book are courageous because they are loyal and stubborn. They know what to do they are just to stubborn to do it. Some characters are courageous because they are not afraid to take chances with the decisions they have made. Alot of these characters are very strong. Some characters are courageous because they are willing to fight. The other characters are courageous for thinking about there decision not to fight. Some characters and old and stubborn. Other characters are young and loyal. Some characters try to win achilles over with the decisions they make with there forces. They also try many different ways to win his loyalty.
